Uranium Recognised as Critical Mineral in the Northern Territory!

The Northern Territory Government has reinforced the growing importance of uranium to the Territory’s resources sector, with uranium added to the NT’s official critical minerals list in 2026.

The newly released “Critical Minerals and Gold in the Northern Territory 2026” guide highlights the Territory’s exceptional mineral endowment across 21 globally recognised critical minerals and outlines strong exploration potential across the region.

For Greenvale Energy, this is particularly encouraging news. Our highly prospective Douglas River Uranium Project is located in a jurisdiction with a long history of uranium mining and exploration and increasing recognition as a reliable supplier of critical minerals to global markets.

As global demand for secure, low-carbon energy continues to grow. The inclusion of uranium as a critical mineral highlights the strategic importance of projects like Douglas River and the role they may play in future supply chains.

See below the "Critical Minerals and Gold in the Northern Territory 2026 Guide".
